Tips for Day Visitors

The Planting is a great place for a day visit particularly on our beautiful autumn days. We would suggest that a hat and sunglasses, comfortable shoes and sunscreen are essential for an enjoyable visit.

It can get cooler at night, so be prepared with a light jumper, etc. We also suggest that you pack an umbrella or raincoat, and suitable shoes, in case we have some rain.

There will be food outlets operating within the festival precinct from Friday evening, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided and recycle where possible.

Tips for Campers

Camping on-site for weekend of The Planting is by far the best way to immerse yourself in the Planting spirit. Camping grounds have permanent toilet and shower blocks. You will need to bring your own tent and bedding.

Food

You are welcome to bring your own food and cooking equipment to the festival site but fires are not permitted. There will be food outlets operating within the festival precinct from Friday evening.

Water

Water is always a precious commodity at Woodfordia as we are not connected to the main supply. We would appreciate it if all patrons could help us in conserving water by limiting themselves to one short shower per day and check that taps are not left running or dripping. All tap water on site is drinkable but for conservation and your own convenience please bring all the drinking water you'll need with you from home.

Waste

Please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided and recycle where possible.

Showers

Hot showers are available but please keep showers short to minmise water use.

Your camp

It will be quite cold at night, so come well prepared with warm bedding and clothes, especially a jacket and a warm hat. Sunscreen and sunhat for those warmer, sunny days should also be considered. We also suggest that you pack an umbrella or raincoat and suitable shoes in case we have some rain. In fact, be prepared for any weather.

Valuables

There is no on-site lock-up so all valuables remain the responsibility of the camper and we suggest that you lock them in your car which can be parked right next to your camp.

Prohibited

No fires, generators, glass or animals are permitted on the site.

Your car

You will be able to park your car next to your camp site. Please do not drive around the grounds once you have set up camp.

Electricity

There is no electricity available on site for patrons campsites unless they require life support equipment.
