Thiago is the director of Syntropic Farms and has been growing food since childhood. Thiago grew up as part of an Indigenous community that farmed within the forest, and is a pioneer of syntropic farming, developing several systems at Byron Bay Harvest. Initially the soil of the land was sandy and very lacking in nutrients, and he’s now growing lettuce, coriander, zucchini, mulberry and more. He facilitates workshops and helps farmers transition from conventional to regenerative practices common in Brazil, across Australia.
